 <video></video></video>Case size is the most obvious shift.Fifteen years ago, oversized watches dominated. Today, that logic has reversed. 40mm leads (25 models, ~17%), followed closely by 38mm (23 models, ~16%). Together, they make up roughly a third of all releases - a strong signal that wearability is now the baseline.Pricing tells a similar story.The largest share sits in the $2,500-$5,000 range (35 models, ~24%), followed by $1,000-$2,500 (30 models, ~21%). With additional volume below $1,000, over half of all releases are priced under $5,000.Materials and design reinforce this direction.Stainless steel dominates (98 models, ~68%), most often paired with steel bracelets. Dial colors remain conservative - black (~28%), blue (~17%), and white (~10%) together account for more than half of all watches. There’s very little push toward bold or experimental palettes. Familiarity still wins, especially when brands are competing for attention in a crowded market.Functionality hasn’t shifted much, but that’s also the point.Automatic movements dominate (116 models), and the most common features remain simple: sweeping seconds and date displays. Chronographs are still present, but they’re no longer central. More complex complications exist, but they sit firmly outside the mainstream.Audemars Piguet leads in volume this month, followed by Hamilton, Nivada Grenchen, and Raymond Weil. It’s a mix of high-end and more accessible names, yet the direction is aligned.
